School Days: The Heritage Classroom
Grades 3 – 5

School Days gives students the opportunity to step back in time to an authentic nineteenth-century classroom in the Massie School.  A slideshow introduces students to nineteenth-century education with drawings and photographs of children in school settings from years past.  Some of the images are actually of students at Massie School!  In the Heritage Classroom, students experience first-hand their educational heritage.  Lessons include spelling, arithmetic, geography, and even penmanship using quill pens.

90-minute program / $5.00 per student
(Note:  This program is provided to all Savannah-Chatham County Public Schools third grade classes.)
