This tour focuses on the Savannah River's role in the community, from Oglethorpes' initial inspection of the river and its forty-foot bluff, to modern shipping and commerce that take place there today, and all of the history in between. With stops at sites along the river and the stories associated with them, this tour keeps students walking and thinking about how a major river influences the development of a city.
